DIY Liquid Calculator (v1.4)

Jun 04, 12 DIY Liquid Calculator (v1.4)

Today’s lesson is one of stubbornness. I just couldn’t let the shoddy work from the original Calculator alone, if you got to do something do it a bit better than you can, my nana would say. So this time around the whole thing is re-written and can do calculations of PG/VG ratios and adjust to nicotine liquid base, it even includes some very fundamental data-field checking even though, if I am allowed a moment on honesty.. if you can’t figure out not to input negative numbers and such then maybe, just maybe you should read up a bit more before trying to diy your own liquid.

Only major issue I would like to address very soon is that this is all in an iframe and I haven’t figured out how to automatically adjust the frames height, there’s a way apparently but I’m a bit tired to try anything else right now. Anyway, good luck in your DIY’ing and please remember to be safe :) Joe Out

Version 1.4 Adds rounding to 2 decimal points where needed, as suggested by a reader

Fantastic tools you have here!!! Congratulations!!! I added both calculators to my favorites to use them when I need numbers!! Nice blog too!!

One thing: maybe, to improve this a little, you could make round decimal numbers. I doubt anybody will add 3,14782846294 ml of PG to their juice :) . Just an idea to improve it even more ;)

I never noticed it was doing that, I’ll add rounding over the weekend

Hi!! I see that now it’s working!! Nice!! Now it’s perfect!!

Well, not perfect, but the best I’ve found yet ;P

What about the option of a mixed Nicotine Liquid base? I only can choose from PG or VG only, but mine has both :( .

Don’t misunderstand me: I love it as it is right now. I just add ideas about how to go even further, just if you want!! It’s your site and your calculator! :)
